Sacred Forest: This is Milo wood. Milo was considered a sacred tree and the use prohibited by commoners. I am not sure why I used “forest” on this piece but I see this tiger shark swim in the sacred forest in Hawaii.
This is a one-of-a-kind crafted piece of original art made from locally (Island of Oahu, Hawaii) grown milo wood and epoxy resin with a tiger shark.
Made in North Shore, Haleiwa, Hawaii.
I tried to leave live edge and cracks on this one to enhance natural beauty. I didn’t want to pour too much resin to cover this beautiful curly koa wood.
